About the event
All area typewriter owners are welcome, and so are those who are simply curious. Host: Jenifer Cooper, a visual artist and substitute teacher who moved to Pittsburg from Kansas City in 2020. She found her first vintage typewriter at a used bookshop in Lawrence in 2006, and soon had far too many. Currently she uses a 1930 Royal Portable Model P named Dorothy. There is no cost to attend, but those who plan to are asked to please RSVP so appropriate table space can be planned. Email Root owner Andra Stefanoni, who grew up on typewriters and still owns two, and indicate whether you’re bringing a vintage or electric.
